Actually, the more time passes, the less I see any need to give traditional gifts at all. I'd rather just see all the family get together and spend time with each other. I'd rather do something special for each of my children that does not come with a price tag.

We got each other a Sony Bravia 46" 1080p LCD HDTV. 3 days later he presented me a Logitech universal remote as my personal Christmas present.

Well, I'm going to Germany for Christmas for two weeks and he's coming back with me for 6, so that's really our presents We're getting each other little things we asked for (a book or something...)

My kids asked for tickets to The Nutcracker and Jesus Christ Superstar this year, which I got them. We went to the Nutcracker together and their dad is taking them to see JCS so those are more family oriented gifts. Any other stuff is pretty much school or hobby related that they requested. We don't spend a lot on gifts or go overboard usually.
