The travel question on DS-260 -- all travel or only work travel?

"Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years?" is in the "Work / Education / Training Information" section of the DS-260 online.

 

Does this question pertain just to work/education travel, or to all travel destinations including for leisure?

We read it literally and included where he’d been on vacation too.

Interpret the question literally and answer accurately.  Include all international travel.

Sorry I didn't include the note above the question as it appears in the screenshot below: "Provide the following work, education, or training related information."

 

Does the way it appears here change how you would answer?

Insinuating that a forum member hiding is something when asking a question in good faith is a bit inflammatory when your alternative was, "I can see how that would be confusing, but you should list all countries."

 

To be abundantly clear, we aren't trying to hide anything. We are trying to answer the questions as accurately as possible in the context they're shown in. The form designers' choice to put a general travel question under a Work/Education/Training heading, moreover with an explicit note saying that the question pertains to such topics, makes the intent of the question ambiguous.
