Hi everyone.

I received an absolutely huge amount of help from many of you here when I was going through this process at the beginning of Covid, unfortunately however, our marriage did not work out.

We split amicably and got divorced. Admittedly there was a delay in changing my address with USCIS (Over a year) however I have since taken care of that and updated my address. I am on a 10-year Green card.

Is there anything else I should do, need to do?

I do plan to stay in the US and become a Citizen. I assume there will be some extra scrutiny during the interviews etc.

Regards, Matt

You just have to wait at least 5 years to apply to naturalise.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks everyone ❤️

Last question in that case, can I apply for naturalization at 5 years or dose USCIS allow you to apply a few months before? I felt that used to be that case, but I do not see mention of it on the Naturalization eligibility checker.

You can file up to 90 days early. People generally recommend giving it a few days after the 90 days before date comes, so like 85 days or so, just in case so someone counting days on intake doesn't mistakenly return your application.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
