Perhaps it'd be better if we all kept our comments to the thread about this topic (in Site Discussions), and then possibly a mod could trim this thread?

To the mods, would appreciate please your trimming the thread as suggested above by deleting the hijackers' posts. To the hijackers, this is our thread. If you don’t like it, please just kindly move on.

Here’s the list again <before we were so rudely interrupted> :innocent:

You can start a thread if you like - won't hurt anything. The only negative I see is it could add another layer of stress over your case already. After all - what can any of you do about the workload generated due to a gamillion petitions all going in at the same time?

Not to mention the information is easily accessed thru the July and August threads as well as VJ timelines.

Not to mention that those needing information or help with things they don't understand might get bogged down going through the long list of threads listed on the AOS forum. IMHO multiple threads about the same thing tend to distract newbies from finding a thread specific to their particular issue.

No one is being superior here...just concerned that too many threads covering the same issue is being created. I would think those involved would see how this could be a real issue over time.

One thing I was concerned about is that I thought my certified mail receipt would have come back by now. It's been 8 days since it's been received in Chicago. Has anyone else sent theirs certified mail and have it taken this long? The PO in my town is notorious for 'losing' mail. I've has numerous things lost in transit to me. So I don't know if it's my PO that's taking it's time or USCIS hasn't signed for it yet.

Wow, I cant believe there's so much disagreement about this thread. I think I explained the purpose of this thread in beginning. I am gonna re-state it in simple words again: "What we are trying to find out is that since so many people filed in last half of July, are their NOA1s being delayed?". That is different from who filed in July or anytime before that. Those would have gotten their NOA1 in average time cuz they were not part of huge bulk of applications that Chicago recieved in last days. But yeah if you think this thread is not "right" just keep posting in ur favourite one.

I have no problems with this thread but I would urge the filers in this thread who eventually receive a NOA1 with a JULY dated NOTICE DATE to please come over to the July thread and please post your info to our thread as well.

I think it's useful to keep all JULY (those with an NOA1 notice date of July) filers in one thread and that's why I ask that some of you post to the July filer thread as well but more power to you guys in here to achieving your intended purpose.
