The bad thing thing is that I am expecting 2 RFE's for my package.

One for the vaccination supplement and the other for the marriage certificate. I will be expecting a 2 to 3 week delay in the process because of the RFE's, but I think it's worth it to save the $ on the filing fees.

I was only able to get a "copy" and not a "certified copy" for the marriage certificate. Lets see how this goes.

You might get lucky on the vaccination supplement. I know of 2 cases where the applicant sent only her DS-3025 (showing that she needed the TD vaccination) and received her green card with no RFE.

A friend of ours (K-1) also sent in the DS-3025 a couple of months ago without the vaccination supplement. No RFE so far, and he's had his biometrics done. We have done the same (same overseas doctor as our friend), so we'll see if we get RFEd for it.

As for the marriage certificate, the instructions on the I-485 said "copy," and the instructions in VJ's guide said "certified copy." Ours wasn't certified either, although I know they can always come back and ask for an original.

I also know of quite a few people who had only sent in the DS-3025 and got all the way to interview.... only to have pointed out to them that the interview letter tells you that unless you have already submitted the vaccination suppliment you will need to bring it with you to the interview.... they had not because thay thought they were safe having got that far.... they were given a RFE at the interview and were told a dissision will be made on your AOS once we have the information.... and so they left with no approval just a RFE and a rush to get the vaccination suppliment done and sent in....

Actually we wouldn't mind getting an RFE for that at interview (if there is an interview). We were stalling on the TD because we wanted to at least get into our 2nd or 3rd trimester before getting the TD vaccine. If they give us an RFE later, we can probably stall some more and get the vaccine after the baby is born (due date December 23). We don't really care if the green card is delayed a little.

Hi August filers!

I'm hoping to be an August filer as well. That is provided USPS delivers my package... I sent it on 7/25 Priority with Signature Confirmation and it hasn't been delivered yet. I'm slowly starting to freak out!!! What's going on???? It was postmarked before 7/30, but how would I prove it if USPS loses it? I made sure to mail it well before the cutoff date and now what? Will I end up paying higher fees if I have to mail it all again?

Sorry about that, I just wanted to vent. I'm really worried...

If you are still waiting for the confirmation paper they send back, don't worry that takes a while.

If you can't see anything, just take whatever you have about your package, go to the post office and ask them to track it for you. And don't worry it's usps postmark, they'll know you sent it on time.

Hi we sent our aos and ead on the 7/26. We have not heard anything either but having read your post I tracked my package at usps I now know that our package was delivered on 7/31. I hope when you check you will se your package has been delivered. Good Luck.

saluds .. mailed it off Sat. July 28th, 12:45 p.m. .. U.S.P.S Priority Flat rate with delivery confirmation. It got to

Nebraska Center at 4:49 p.m. that same day.

Howz that for last minute !!!!! ... 15 minutes before tha' post office closed.

Cost: $5.25 ... post mark before July 30th .... Fkn priceless !!!!!

Finances prevented me from filling any sooner. As it is $170 is a ridiculous amount to file papers .. but a 66%

increase is barbaric ! .. but I'm sure we all know why .. I'll leave tha' politics out

Your item was accepted at 2:22 PM on July 25, 2007 in WALNUT CREEK, CA 94596. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

I went to the post office from which I mailed the package last Thursday (8 days after I mailed it) to ask what's going on. The attendant went to the back area and when he returned he said he didn't find the package there anymore, so it had to be on its way and it probably would be delivered that day or the next day. Now it's Sunday and it still hasn't been delivered - at least according to the website.

I guess I have to go to the post office again tomorrow...

O.O you sent it on July 25th and there are still no moves... I wonder what the post office is doing. Good luck dealing with that, it's hard enough with the normal stress from the papers. I hope someone can give you an advice. Not sure if it's of any use but does the USPS website says anything about packages who don't seem to be anywhere and what to do in such case?

Money order question and please dont get on me for not sending checks, I know big mistake.

I purchased 2 money orders from USPS. One for AOS + Biometrics, the other for EAD. Is there a way to tell if the money orders have been cashed?

Postal money orders? Maybe. Try going to their website and poke around. You might find the answer there.

I sent out my I 485 package on July 26,07. It was overnight received and signed for it on July 27. Sine then I have not heard from them.

Let me known how your case is progressing since weboth filled around the same time.
