Hello! My fiancés paperwork was sent from NVC and received in Ankara on March 17. We got an email stating to make an account with the turkey visa system but are unable to pay the fee or schedule an interview bc no interview dates are available. Does anyone know if this is the correct process? I am reading online that the NVC gives us an interview date but we never received that. Pls let us know how Turkey actually does this.
thanks

That is not correct.  For K-1s, applicants normally schedule their ow interviews.  Follow the instructions you received from the consulate.  Interview slots are usually in high demand.  You just have to keep checking for available times.  Good Luck.

Anyone know how often interview slots are opened at this specific embassy (Ankara turkey)? We have been looking at the site 20x a day for 3 weeks now and no slots have been opened. It keeps telling us to “check back in a few days as more slots will open” but I’m having a hard time being patient. Any help appreciated.

We scheduled our appointment this morning at 7am US Eastern time they seem to open up slots either beginning of the month or mid month anytime i called or emailed the embassy that the instructions were not helpful at all because the number they give out the visa people they told us to refresh the website even when we said we want to have an urgent interview. I ended up writing to my local congressman/woman about it all they can do is send out an inquiry to ankara asking like whats up with their application. Me and my fiancée missed the appointment slots 2 times during this we had to do shifts to refresh the webpage everyminute unfortunately seems like no other way and its total BS it felt like a game of musical chairs so yeah if anyone wants to write to their congressman i suggest researching alots

Thanks and yeah Turkish citizens get priority.. it’s the same procedure in every country actually. I just saw on the website of the U.S embassy in Moldova that they don’t accept transfers because the local applications are more than enough.

I heard that only Turkish citizens who were BORN in Turkey get priority... my husband is a Turkish citizen (no other citizenship or residency) but he was born in Germany.. so more than likely we will be waiting a year or so for his interview. :(
