Does anyone have experience with a police certificate being sent directly to the USA consulate?

I lived in a country where the law does not allow the certificate to be given directly to the applicant, but directly to the government authority that requests it.

The logistics of this make me nervous and would be happy to talk to someone in a similar situation. :)

You’d get better responses if you shared which country. Even better if you post in their forum

Did you have anything to worry about in your record?

Not relevant, and does not address the Op's question.  Police certificate will state what it states.

OP is more than likely concerned that the certificate will get lost in a pile or be in another applicant's file and the consulate will deny him or make him get another one for the missing police cert.

Yes exactly.

Nothing on record, and the country in question is Israel.

I'm just worried my certificate will get lost somewhere in the consulate.

I know you don't get the certificate, but is there anyway you could get a tracking number or proof of delivery at least?

The consulate is aware it has to be directly sent to them:

Procedure for Obtaining: Israeli citizens or Jerusalem ID holders must request a Criminal Information Certificate for use in their visa application.  The certificate should be sent directly to the Consular Section.  Applicants may request the certificate at their nearest police station or online at https://forms.gov.il/globaldata/getsequence/getHtmlForm.aspx?formType=criminaldocument@police.gov.il  (instructions in Hebrew only).
