Hello, I am planning to file a N-400 application for my mom who is 74 years old, she just turn 5 years as a green card holder last May. She never work because she's taking care of my children while I am working. My mistake was I did not file income tax fir her even she has zero income. What should I do? Anyone had the same experience as mine? Thank you!

Did u claim her on your returns?

if not ,  amend your taxes and claim her  1040x

Or

file form  4506-T to show there are no returns in her name

if u ever bought a house ,  you can see a copy of this form in your mortgage package as this is the form they do for income for a  title search

State that she hasn't filed tax return where it asks on N400. Provide a statement why she wasn't required to file taxes and bring your tax documents/transcripts to show she was dependent on your tax return. Case closed. Don't worry, no big deal. One doesn't need to go n file tax return if one is not required to.
