“Updated reaffirmation letter”

Our K1 visa was approval in December 2021. And In February 2022 we received direction from the London embassy to create an account to schedule an interview. We've been checking this site every day since and have not seen a single interview date listed. His medical exam has been completed since March and all of our forms are in order, we just need an interview and there's been nothing. I've emailed, called, and
submitted multiple contact forms at the embassy and NVC and I keep either not getting a response or getting the same link to directions to apply for the K1 visa..Today we received a letter from the london embassy stating that they have "received no response" from him and asked for us to confirm within 60 days that we intend to proceed with the application. (I completely
don't understand this- we've been struggling to get any insight in our application in MONTHS and they're acting like they're waiting on us??)

They then state that if we wish to proceed with the k1 application, I will need to submit an "updated reaffirmation letter..to update the I-129F petition." He will need to bring the reaffirmation letter to the appointment.
If anyone has any insight as to why this is being
handled this way, or information is needed for the reaffirmation letter and where would I submit that, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

The "updated affirmation letter" sounds like the letter of intent that each of you will marry the other within 90 days of the beneficiary's entry into the U.S. by virtue of the K-1 visa.  After you confirm with London that this is what they want, simply copy the language from the first letters that you wrote onto a page with a fresh date.  It's safest to do one letter from you and one from him.

I ended up freshening my letter of intent three times for the then-dysfunctional Guayaquil consulate.  This one time should be sufficient for London.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It is typical of London to send out a query at six months if they have not heard from you to find out if you still want the visa. There is a disconnect somewhere because they are waiting on you.

The reaffirmation letter is standard if you haven’t interviewed within 4 months of NOA2. The American fiancé writes they remain free to marry and intend to marry [name] within 90 days of his entry into the US on a K1 fiancé visa.

Others have been making appointments so figuring out your disconnect is puzzling. Some random things to note or check——

  • Calling the embassy will not work. The Immigrant Visa Unit folks you need never take phone calls.
  •  Are you using this page, the green one for IMMIGRANT Visa (not the blue one)? https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv
  • Did you make the courier arrangements (pay for the courier)?
  • Did you pay the visa fee?  You would have email confirmation of those payments to take to the interview.

Is this the way you contacted the embassy?

With this specific form for IMMIGRANT Visas https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/iv-contact_form/

Forgot  to add, when you check ceac https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx  does your status say Ready?
