I-485 Interview scheduled for AOS

Hi,

my mother and I (petitioner) got AOS interview in 1 month. She unluckily got ill and had to take her to the hospital. Since she is uninsured, they told us to apply for Emergrency Medicaid. I am scared that could affect her AOS case. Does anyone know whether it could?

also, once I get her AOS approved and get her green card, do you know if I could enroll her in Obamacare or some type of health insurance ?

You could have enrolled her in an ACA health insurance plan the day you got the receipt notice for her I-485.  AOS applicants are eligible.

Emergency medical treatment is exempted from consideration.  Question 61 on form i-485 specifically asks if you've received public assistance - other than emergency medical treatment.
