Could it be faster to switch to CR1?

We are currently stuck in NVC awaiting processing by the Consulate in Manila.

 

Today they announced that the borders are finally opening after two years, and we're completely elated.

 

I'm going to visit her as soon as possible, and I got this crazy idea.

 

We're seriously thinking of getting married and getting our proof of marriage while I'm there, in Manila.

 

Do you think CR1 processing times are noticeably faster than K1? 

 

We're currently stuck in NVC, and we have been for about 6 months, waiting for the Manila consulate.

 

Then again, I wonder if the consulate is clogged and blocking CR1 visas as well? If that's the case, it wouldn't make sense to switch now.

 

We're so tired of waiting!

You might want to see if there is a K1 visa NOA2 to Interview group (for Manilla) with updates on who is getting interviews and when.

You know what? It looks like our number should come up any day now. Any time between now and the next three months, based on the numbers I'm seeing. I'm really glad I didn't withdraw from the queue!

Maybe also ask this question in the Philippines forum. Not everyone fills out a timeline and you might get some feedback on when people are getting told they can schedule their medical and interviews.
