Hello, I need help. My case number has arrived last April 2021.

But when my mother filed my immigration petition, my status was Single. The petition arrived last April 2021, and I am already got married last April 2016.

I was wondering, how would my mother do the changing of status for me, as the petitionee, from single to married.

Please point me to the link of the process. Thank you.

You need to provide more accurate details if you want to receive help from others here. What is your PD? Where is your petition now (USCIS, NVC)? What country?

I have already received case number and id numbers from NVC, and received instructions to the process of my visa. I am from the Philippines.

You should have notified them a long time ago. The minute you got married you disqualified yourself from F1 category. Now that you’re married you’ll be F3 which is of lower priority and will add 10 years to the process. You still get to the retain your PD but because you’re from Philippines the backlog is much greater there.

She has to notify the NVC and attach your marriage certificate, along with case number, names, etc so they can identify your case and change your category.

Thank you, but how? Any link or information how to file this in NVC? How to notify NVC, what are to need to file, and procedures to file and everything?

Any help with the resources? Thank you!

Yes, I just inputed my details and send an email regarding my case.

I'm waiting for their reply.

Thank you for your help.

You just added yourself more wait time as said by @powerpuff. Nonetheless, you cannot hide it. They'll catch you. Best bet is you update them. Best of luck.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Thank you, I have no plans of hiding it.

Another issue.

My dad was the one petitioned by his brother wayback 1983. This was the brother-to-brother relationship petition. The petition was for the whole of our family. I was part of that petition since I was born 1979, and child of my dad.

The petition of my whole family approved last 2006. Me and my older sister were not able to come since we were both more than 21yrs old. I was 27yrs old then.

Would it be helpful in my case to mentioned that too?

The petition for my dad that was I child.

Thank you.

Thank you.

No need to mentioned your uncle petitioning your father.  Has nothing to do with your USC mother petitioning you.
