On 12/29 I submitted a case outside normal filing times inquiry after not having my oath ceremony rescheduled after it was cancelled Sept 15th. On Jan 5th I received an email that states my oath ceremony HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED (see below). However, my case status on my account says it WILL be scheduled. I have not yet received a paper mailing of either notices. Is this normal? Seems a discrepancy. Which do I believe and what can I do? (Denver Office).

You can hire a lawyer to sue USCIS in federal district court.  At trial the judge can take your oath of citizenship.  By then, my guess is USCIS will call you into a field office to take oath as that is cheaper than it going to trial to defend the undefendable.

I'd rather not sue. Just wondering if the discrepancy in wording is a problem? Email says it's been scheduled. Online acct says it will be scheduled. I've not received hard copy mail of either notice.

Have you checked the docs tab in your account? If they have mailed you a new notice, you should be able to see a scanned copy of that notice under the docs tab in your online account. If not, have you tried giving them a call to see if they can share a specific date for your oath ceremony, just to make sure that you don't miss it? If you have tried both and you can't find any new information about your oath ceremony, then most likely the status message showing in your account is the more accurate one.

Thanks for the response. I have checked the docs tab and there is nothing there regarding this. Every time I have ever tried calling they hang up on me. I can not get through to a human and I don't know how anyone else gets through?
