Hello there,

luckily I have received email from NVC they are shipping my father IR-5 package to Abu Dhabi embassy!!! That is great news! It’s been accepted as expedited case for interview! I am accommodating with my job here in usa to go IRAN and take him to embassy… it won’t be a simple step and I appreciate any informational help to get this done! I appreciate any links … few questions: will embassy accommodate with date?! I need time for this travels … we have to go to third country!( UAE)Iran does not have embassy… and what documents I have to grab from here in USA as petitioner?! I have read before interview officer only needs civil documents for beneficiary ( my dad) …. It’s actually written on https://ceac.state.gov/IV   I think…

any help and guidance appreciate in advance…

Does anyone out there knows please:how soon I get contacted from embassy once it has been expedited?! And how soon usually the embassy schedules an expedited case?! Within one month, 2 months or 3 months?! I need to coordinate for my job leave…

thanks

Expedite under what grounds?  I think it is very unlikely you can get an expedite for Turkey or some other consulate; the priority for interviews is given to citizens of that country first.

Dear jorgedig;

you were kinda right … they accepted expedite, they received it from NVC but now they say wait until tourist visa opens up to Abu Dhabi!! It means they are giving service only to their own residence!

I shopped  around surrounding countries so far the same!
does it mean my case is over just because we don’t have embassy in Iran?! Or we have to wait till corona finishes?!

thanks for your upcoming opinions

 Hi Agolbaghi,

Sorry to hear.  It is an immigrant visa, not tourist visa, right?  I wonder if you would have better luck with Ankara vs. UAE.  I'm not sure that they would expedite, but even with regular processing, it may be faster.

Worth a try?

Btw, Iran is beautiful, and I hope one day Americans can go there so that I can go to the flower markets of Tehran <3.

Dear jorgedig;

yes it is immigrant visa, IR-5 for my dad… it has been expedited by NVC + Abu Dhabi… to my understanding if you “expedite “ something you speed up and eligible to cut off the line to get it done… what was the reason to “expedite “ something and then say wait till everything goes to pre- pandemic era! Why should you “expedite “ something that you are not able to take care of it?! Right?! I emailed Ankara… got automatic reply saying they are not giving service to non- Turkish people!!!

on the other aspect of this case: please educate me ; once a case has been approved as “ expedite “ by NVC , should it be treated as “expedite “ in any embassy around the world?! Or you think my father case is ONLY been “expedited “ in Abu Dhabi, original place?!

thanks for kind words…. Yes Iran is beautiful and attractive… hopefully you visit soon… New Zealand is amazing too!

Unfortunately, with the different steps to the entire immigration process, an NVC expedite does not always mean an expedite at the consular level.  So you would have needed to request for an expedite from Abu Dhabi, and if you are able to get Ankara to agree to take the case as a transfer, you would need to request the expedite there as well.

I have a neighbor from Tabriz, and he has told me about the lovely smell of wild thyme growing in meadows around his childhood home.  🙂

I am from Seattle but my husband is from New Zealand - a beautiful country, that we sadly cannot visit easily due to their strict quarantine/lockdown policy.  He is homesick for sure!

I am a world traveler.  COVID has definitely interrupted the plans of so many!

Dear mrs jogedig,

thanks for your educated opinion…. I would guess the same although I am not an expert… I was thinking each embassy might have its own criteria about “ expedite “…which you confirmed it as well….this will be a flag for me even to think about moving it! But you never know, maybe ankara accept or consider it as “expedite “ as well… I called them went to answer machine…. I emailed them I got automatic negative reply… I keep trying after weekend to reach human being instead of machine!

but still something tells me in Abu Dhabi they will contact me positively soon… because it doesn’t add up if they didn’t want to take care of the case in first place to expedite it!!… it looks so not professional otherwise….
I am glad you got a tabrizi neighbor… let them cook for you… their cuisine is unique…I have cousins  in Adelaide and Sidney… this as close as my gene gets  to New Zealand… 😊
