Hi All 

 

I know I asked this question but I need to get some clarification , will I get my EAD and Social Security Card before the AOS interview? if this is the case what happens if the AOS is denied ? is the EAD and Social Security canceled ?😕

Usually yes.. the EAD is processed before the AOS

 

EAD is cancelled yes. You become “out of legal status” to remain in the US.  SSN. remains associated with you permanently but you are no longer authorized to work .

Most likely since odds are I-765 will be processed before I-485.

SSN is issued for life, but don't loose the SSN card. After an EAD is revoked getting a replacement SSN card will be extremely difficult; i.e. SSA communicates with DHS via the SAVE system and also the SSN cards with most restricted wording (e.g. "NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT") are extremely rare.

 

If I-485 is denied then the EAD is revoked.
