Tourist visa timeline and likelihood from Ukraine

We are wondering if anyone has any recent experience with getting a tourist visa from Ukraine. My wife (K1) and I have been married for almost 3 years and would like to have her parents come visit in the USA. We're willing/able to host and even pay airfare but of course they don't have a visa.

Their situation is financially stable, both with jobs, house, family, and assets. My wife's sister recently graduated and does have a job but that's about it and we'd want her to be able to come as well.

I realize COVID has messed up the flow on a lot of things and we're not needing anything immediately, but want to think ahead to 2022+.

No-one will have recent experience because they still have not restarted tourist visa interviews since the Covid shutdown.  https://ua.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas/

Timeline

My assumption for Ukraine is that you're looking at over a 200 day wait from the current time. Ukraine very recently opened to other visa categories, but there are currently no other posts in Eastern Europe processing B2 right now. The only one slightly similar I can think of is Nur-Sultan, but there's been a consistent 180 day wait for a tourist visa there. Once Kyiv can clear out the people waiting for student/work/spouse/fiancee visas, you'll see the announcement for B2 come out. Be sure to check the embassy's website for the most up-to-date information.

I realize her parents probably don't even have an expired visa, but it's worth mentioning that Ukraine is one of the select countries right now that's allowing all expired visas to be renewed even if they're not part of the categories currently being processed. That is, if they had an expired B2, they could mail it to the embassy even though those interviews aren't occurring.
