Nvc expedite approved

I need help my husband lives in haiti and I recently got an nvc expedite approved on April 15th , today is April 22nd and case status still shows at nvc on ceac website. Therefore, I called nvc and the agent told me it's under administrative processing. I am so confused I thought your case could only be under ap review only after your interview . Please advise.

NVC can only expedite their part of the process.  Once that is complete, the consulate is responsible for requesting the petition, so there is no guarantee of an expedite at that point, particularly if they are not back to conducting routine immigrant visa interviews.

 

The 'AP' referred to at the NVC stage may mean further background checks are being conducted on the petitioner.
