I had my F2A interview on Monday, 12th April and I was approved. The next day, I got a message to pick up my passport and I've picked it today.

My interview was originally scheduled for 31st March, 2020 but was cancelled due to Covid19 and Trump's ban.

Hello.

What is your PD and DQ? 😊

I was supposed to be interviewed last march 20, 2020 but cancelled due to pandemic but never ever received any letter to rescheduled my interview. The support@ustraveldocs.com answered my inquiry with my MRV expiring because I didin't do what they advised me to do but I have never been interviewed...they're asking me to send a written statement that this was out of my control and etc...I tried contacting them thru emails and calls but always answered the US embassy in manila is close. I replied them telling them that I they never interviewed me yet but nver heard from them yet. Im trying to call the number but cant reach. Please any special instruction shoukd I do to reach the consul and remind them about my case..thanks in advance

use the email above to reach the Embassy in Manila and briefly explain your case. The Embassy should reschedule your cancelled appointment or give you instructions on how to schedule a new appointment date yourself.

I am sorry to see that you are going through this

My guess, the email you received is not directly from the Manila Embassy and they responded to your inquiry stating the 1 year contact rule.

Since your case is in the Manila Embassy, you should DIRECTLY contact them through their email and phone number provided here https://ph.usembassy.gov/embassy/manila/contact-us/  they also stated that you should provide a written statement about your case to the Embassy.

Your appointment is cancelled due to the pandemic and you didn't hear from them. so, I think you have a case. Generally, if you contact the Manila Embassy, you should be able to get timely and more accurate answers to your case.

Hi Emmanuella.

Wat was the last update u received from NVC?

I am also F21 category, documentarily qualified on april 9th 2020. I received a mail from NVC on 3rd march 2021 to wait for 120 days for scheduling  an interview. Did u receive the same mail ?

Yes I also received it on March 8th saying I will receive interview within 120 days . Those anyone knows if this information is very authentic or it’s an automatic email and it doesn’t really matter?

thanks

Hello

The NVC email recieved on march states, "The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 120 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview"

I hope that everyone waiting for interview receives an appointment letter soon. However, the email is simply stating that the NVC  will communicate within the next 120 days either with scheduled interview or no schedule for interview.

Generally after the NVC DQ, scheduling for interviews depends on the US Embassy or Consulate that is processing your visa. Embassies update their open  interview  slots every month and NVC schedules interview dates accordingly.

Everyone can check the monthly visa issuance statistics here,

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html

The statistics usually come out around the 20th day of every month for the previous month.

London Embassy

DQ - 04/08/2021

Requested an expedite and received an email back this morning stating our case was going through necessary ministration processing PRIOR to an interview - has anyone had experience with this?

thanks

The NVC reviews expedite requests on case by case basis and then forward it to the embassy for a decision if the reason for expedite request meets the criteria. But sometimes, the NVC replies without sending it to the embassy. Because it is case by case review there is no specific answer.

If the NVC sent the case to the embassy they usually send an email like this:

Dear Sir/Madam:

We are reviewing your request for expedited processing of this immigrant visa petition. We will notify you with the results when the review is complete.

Please note that only the U.S. Embassy or Consulate has the ability to approve or deny expedite requests

I'm also in Jamaica DQ July 2020. Do you know anyone who has gotten interview in F category since the ban was lifted?

Based on the VISA statistics website, they've issuing VISA's so I would assume that means they're interviewing people as well (just in VERY small numbers). They haven't released the April numbers as yet but for March (in Kingston) they issued a fair number of spousal visas, a lot of children of citizen visas, a few children of resident visas and so on.

You can check out the march  issuance here:

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyIVIssuances/MARCH 2021 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf

You can see just how much they are doing on a month on month basis:
