Hi all,

So my grandfather-in-law submitted a petition to bring his daughter a few years ago. Since he is retired he doesn't have enough income and needs a joint sponsor. He has another son here, he works full time along with his wife. Last year they did not have enough income to be joint sponsors. But around 6 months ago they got better jobs and meet the proverty guidelines of three dependents since they have two children. So my question is, will they now be qualified to be sponsors? The person who helped with I-130 form said that they will not be able to. But, I remember when I was doing this for my wife, if I had a different job later on, I just needed to provide my recent pay stubs, work letter if my previous year income didn't meet the guidelines. I'm not sure if this has changed but can someone help me this.

Thanks
