Can I call uscis to get a receipt number? Bank check was cashed 3 days ago but haven't received any email from them.

You need to be patient, no they won’t give case number when you call.

If you can get through to USCIS then yes with your 'A' number.

They absolutely will give you your case number as long as your case is in their system. I got mine when I called and many people who filed in November have done so as well. They just asked for my A number and had me confirm my first and last name, birth date, and address.

Thank you for your response. I received a letter in the mail yesterday with a receipt number.
