For right now:

I-130 packet: $535

I-485 packet: $1140 + $85 biometrics

There are no applicable fees for anything else.

Note that I am saying "packets" above. For instance, the I-130 packet for a spouse requires an I-130A. And an I-485 for a spouse requires the I-864 + I-944 (well, maybe...the very recent court ruling has the specifics of I-944 unclear, and it may or may not depend on where you live).

 

After the fee change in October, the fees for the forms change slightly, but the I-131 and I-765 fees are no longer waived. So that adds close to an extra $1000.

Those are currently included in the price of the i485. --- for now at least....come October they will be separate.

 

So it's the I130 and I485 price you need to work about.

Right now, an I-131 and/or I-765 filed due to a pending I-485 have no fees attached. This occurs if you file them concurrently (suggested) or if you file them separately afterwards.

My suggestion is 1 payment for the I-130 packet and 1 payment for the I-485 packet. I have seen people have success for a single check for both, but it's more clear this way IMHO.

Just worried about the i94 expiring by the time.i get the noa1 for both the i130 and i485 and then I'd be over stayed.

Did you call whoever had your K1 and tell them you cancelled it? Or since the NoA2 was expired you didn't bother?

Overstays are forgiven for spouses, important to get married before it expires.  I didn’t call anyone to void my noa2 since it expired

I did two separate Cheques
 

I had one larger folder with a divider between them separating 485 packet and all 5e sub forms, and another with the 130 and 130a. I put the Cheques at the front of each. At the very front of the whole thing I put a cover letter

There is no biometric fee for the I-130.

The only biometric fee you would need to pay before October is for the I-485.

 

After the fee changes, there is no separate biometric fee. The new form fees will include biometric costs in the cost of the form itself.

Hard to say. Additional forms were required back when I filed that are no longer required today (the data from them was added to the existing forms), so it technically has been reduced.

The hard part is there are SO many immigration provisions that if you tried to combine it into a single form, it would very likely confuse many more people with questions that don't pertain to their circumstances.

They're gonna start charging for I-131 and I-765 even for concurrent filing with I-130/I-485??

Yes. Once the new fee changes go into effect, the I-131 + I-765 fees will no longer be waived due to a pending I-485.

Omg they must be hurting real bad. So glad we got AoS/RoC out of the way right before the fee increase but this means our group of AoS/RoC filers will be paying more for N400. T_T
