That's wonderful news! When was your cancelled AOS interview?

With our bad luck, it was scheduled for a week after NYC went into lockdown. If it had been a week earlier in March, we would have been done!

Ouch, it looks like we are in the same boat though ours was scheduled for second week of April. Hope to hear from them soon!

The officer who called said a letter was sent to me confirming the interview but it has not arrived and the interview is tomorrow! The case status has not been updated online. We are showing up anyway!

Showed up early at NY Office. Not many people around, with social distancing in practice in waiting area.

We informed the receptionist that we did not have a letter of appointment but that we had received a phone call about our interview. They looked up our case on their system and everything was good.and we were directed to another waiting room.

Five minutes later we were met by an officer to escort us to his office for our interview. Did not ask for copies or originals of documents. He asked a few general questions about criminal record, communist party membership etc. Nothing major. He did a scan of applicant's index fingers and made us stand for the oath. Mainly he just chatted and joked while he went through the paperwork.  After 2 hours 15 mins, he showed us the approval on the screen and the order for the green card to be issued.

What a strange experience!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you receive your green card yet?
