So, Noom's N-400 biometrics appt was scheduled on March 14 for April for April 2 but then canceled due to covid. So, like most everyone else we've been waiting for some update, some progress, some something.

So today, USPS informed delivery email shows a letter from USCIS ... wonder what that's all about? Of course, curiosity is killing me! Anyone want to speculate?

Isn't it weird to get something case related with no app update, email or text?

Oh brother...I don't understand what's going on with USCIS!

So, filed for N-400 in March; biometrics was scheduled for April but was subsequently canceled due to covid. So...we've been waiting for biometrics to be rescheduled.

Today we received a notice to appear for ROC interview on September 3rd. Noom already has his 10-year green card...he received it May 28th (no interview). Why would they issue an ROC interview notice now? Any ideas? Seems like we're going backwards.

Is this unusual? Thanks,

Well, if USCIS starts backtracking on waived ROCs, a good handful of people are going to be in shock.....those whose ROCs were waived.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I have seen some others on here receiving interviews after they have gotten their Green cards. Most have been advised to show up. The worst they can do is say it’s an error and you can go home. Best to show up and prepare for the interview.

good luck!

Let us know what the letter is once you open it.

It is a notice to appear for a ROC interview on September 3, but Noom received his permanent green card on May 28, so this seems odd.

That has happened a few times lately, for AOS applicants. They received interview letters several months after AOS approval (approved without interview). A couple of days before the interview date they got phone calls from their local field office letting them know not to show up as the interview was a mistake. They all had the same field office from what I understand, though.

Thanks. Just got off the phone with USCIS...rep feels strongly that it is a mistake but is having a higher level person call me to discuss. We'll see.
