Hi guys, is there anyone here with K1 visa who were interviewed last March before the lockdown and was refused of visa because of Section 221(g)?

I was able to obtain the documents the Embassy was asking but It is still with me. I tried emailing the Embassy last June but I was told that they are not processing any visa. I tried emailing them again last week but i still got no reply. My medical and vaccines are going to expire next month. I guess my question is, is there anything my fiance can do to request if our case can be expedited?

Thanks.

That does not qualify for an expedite and I believe the embassy is closed anyway which means they aren't processing any visas. Medicals are automatically being extended by 30 days but if the embassy doesn't open then that doesn't help you. Have you tried calling or only emailing?

I haven't tried calling them. I was wondering because I saw some people posts about having their K1 visa already. The Embassy is now open actually but is only interviewing and processing certain visas.

Hey Maze  (how's Mr. Morningstar)

Getting a 221g isn't unusual.

There isn't much of anything you can do until the embassy opens up again.  The list is very long with people who have medicals expiring ...  an expedite isn't likely for that issue.

All you can do is be patient.   Once the embassy is open for business again you can send the documents by 2GO.       https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/

Time will tell if you need to complete another medical or not.      🤞

Well they closed in March and I’m not sure if your specific embassy is open yet or not

I don't have and Embassy

But the US Embassy in Manila has been doing CR1 last couple of months, and recently started doing K1's.  Reports the are also doing EB3 as well in the last few months.

The embassy has never closed, but have cut back on immigrant/non immigrant visas but they are still doing them

My fiance was interviewed in March just before the shutdown, but got 221(g). She actually got a second 221(g) a few days later, but that was not delivered to her for a few months, when others were getting the visas that had been stuck for months. All the required docs have been sent in. On CEAC, the date last updated has been bumping up every couple of days for a 2 weeks now, but just once (August 4) since Manila went into MECQ.

Clearly your specific embassy is Manila then and routine immigration services haD been suspended. They were open for Emergent US citizen needs but that doesn’t apply to you nor your question.
