My mother i485 keep getting rejected

That sections for derivatives... not applicable to his mom.. 

 

im with one of the earlier posters... use NA in all fields left blank... ours first submission was rejected for not having NA

AOS Journey

  • I-485 etc filed 23 April 2020 
  • NOA1 I-485 June 3 2020 
  • NOA1 EAD 23 April 2020
  • Biometrics 5 Jan 2021
  • EAD approved 12 March 2021
  • Interview Completed 24 March 2021

i would suggest putting N/A in the boxes that does not apply. also can you post the the rejected letter. redact any personal information before posting it here. the exact wording of the letter would help

If you don't put N/A in the areas that don't apply to you, USCIS might think that you forgot to fill it out. That would result in a rejection.

It's a double taken on this one. Some people put N/A. Others like me leave it blank. USCIS has no issues with either preference.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Official uscis instructions are don’t leave blank but fill in n/a or none as applicable 
 

“Form filing tip: Be sure to complete the entire form. Don’t leave any required sections blank. You can always write “none” or “N/A” as an answer, unless otherwise directed. If you don’t complete your form, we may reject or deny it.”

This was on uscis pages on Twitter & Facebook a while back.

Also make sure all forms you send in are single sided. That was also under filing tips.

It tells you to say NA if the question is not applicable.

Also when i read the instruction for form i 485. I think petition too need to send in i944. What do you think. I'm so fraustrated. 

I am actually so confused specially after new law that no need for public charge form but I’ll still send it just Incase

You can go read instructions and check the part that says who need to file i944  on pg 10,11. and also in their 797 response said i944 and 864 need to be sumitted even after beneficial has submitted i 944& 864 why would they asked again. I stand to be corrected.  Pls keep me updated thanks. I guess we a same issue. And also are gonna send in new amount or the old 1760. I plan to call them up tomorrow morning. Hopefully i get info. Thanks
