How is that comparable at all? Also, did she use the word holocaust?

I think she used the term "concentration camps."

Concentration camps don't have to refer to the holocaust exclusively. There is a big difference between fighting for what you believe is right and describing things with appropriate words and cussing out your coworkers

I think he should have walked out of the reporters ear shot before telling his buddy what he thought of her. If he really did.

Oh honey bunch.....I'm not quite sure you understand.

Let's go back a bit.....

I'm 48 years old (and grew up in the south).

The FIRST time I was called a f..b.... (have to get around those filters) was when I was 15 years old (because I wouldn't speak to a guy who slammed my hand in a van door on a date......I really DON'T like being injured on a date). Years later....college....bars....parties....same insult. Fing B.....Work for the state....fing b.....always the same....always the same insult trying to reduce women....you would think small minded men would come up with something much more creative or....you know....at least something more relevant....

There is a point in your professional life when you have to learn how to wrap up your insults in a professional way.  I do not swear often, but I love to do it when appropriate (and that is not at work).

Had to black out bad words for VJ.

There was a reporter from The Hill there who confirmed what Yoho said: https://thehill.com/homenews/house/508259-ocaasio-cortez-accosted-by-gop-lawmaker-over-remarks-that-kind-of

If he DID say what she claims, he pretty much said what a large number of Americans think about her.  A BIG nothing sammich.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

Run of the mill tactic from members of Congress. They regularly engage in shows like this to polarize people into their little "team" faction. This little bit of irrationality redirects people toward each other, rather than members of Congress' pathetic job performance. It's how you make a 30-50+ year incumbent out of people who have an approval in the single digits. Top notch bait by AOC.

I have been called the same for not smiling, for not smiling enough, for not letting a man touch my arm and be okay with it, for turning a man down at a bar/at the grocery store/at the DMV/at the doctor's office/at fill in the blank, for speaking up, for standing my ground, for asking difficult questions, for being right and making a man feel dumb about it, for being shy... for being myself.

I am 35 and I grew up in the LA area. It's the same everywhere, depressingly.

I've been called pretty much any bad word and mean name in the book. You learn to shake this off depending on whom it's coming from. It's not worth the time and energy. Of course in this case, the person probably should have known better since it's rather unbecoming of an elected official - one that's supposed to be held to higher standards and the public tends to need smelling salts whenever they run their mouths stupidly. I tend to think the majority of you gentlemen would be fired from your jobs if you dare uttered such a thing in earshot of your female coworkers. And I'd also think that you'd be pretty upset if someone said such to your wives or daughters or mothers or sisters. And I'd think you'd be further upset if the dude continued being pretty much a... hmm insert word I can't use here, and issued a non-apology. At least the Christian organization saw through it and punted him out.

I don't really care about the thing honestly. They are adults and should be working it out, but clearly people find it acceptable to behave like children these days.
