Married but not able to file for AOS?

My fiance entered the US on a K1 and we got married last month. I decided to use RV for the AOS forms for piece of mind. 

 

However, I just got an email stating they suspended all services. Is the USCIS no longer processing forms? 

 

If so, how can I ensure she won't have any trouble staying here past the I-94 date?

I'm not sure what RV is talking about, USCIS is still accepting forms and working on them. Interviews just started to get scheduled again on some offices. Biometrics are supposed to start again on July 13th.

 

Don't trust them 100%. I would double check every single form they fill out to make sure everything is fine.

Are you saying that Rapid Visa is suspending all services????😲

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Once your I-94 has expired, you are out of status and technically subject to removal.  Once you file a proper I-485, you will be granted authorized stay while the Adjustment of Status application is pending.

I would be interested in seeing that email. Could you please post a copy, with your personal info blacked out? Rapid Visa does make mistakes. We used them and, while they were sometimes helpful, they screwed up several times. One of their mistakes was pretty serious, and could have caused problems for us if the IO hadn't been so wonderful. She corrected the mistake while we were in her office.

Did you do the k1 yourself? Just file AOS yourself. If you. Can read English it’s really not difficult and I wouldn’t chance your wife being out of status based on some visa “service”.

Nothing is preventing you from filing your own AOS.

Perhaps you have not paid them and can file your own AOS. There is some very good advice here if you run into any problems. Also, there are sample forms available to review. You can save yourself a lot of money.

Personally I would have much less "peace of mind" leaving something that important in the hands of RV.
