Hi,

I want to know the validity of medicals. Is it 6 months or 1 years. And also police report too. In Ghana. Thanks for helping a sister.

Does the visa applicant reside in Ghana? Is the visa applicant a national of Ghana?

Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview:

• You are more than 16 years old;
• The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
• You still live in the country that issued the certificate.

Yes. The visa applicant reside in Ghana. But on his police report it says expiration is 6 months.

For immigration purposes it is one year

EDIT:  Note the last line in the screenshot from the state dept website.  This is pretty much the same wording for all US Embassies.  I would discount the statements from 3rd party websites.

Per the CDC's TB Instructions for Panel Physicians: "Applicants without current clinical findings of tuberculosis disease, without known HIV infection, and with a normal chest x-ray (and for applicants who require it, a negative IGRA) with normal tuberculosis disease screening examinations. Travel clearance is valid for 6 months from the time the evaluation is complete."

Because a lot more can change in a far shorter time in the health status of the vast majority of people than is likely to change in their police report.
