Need help with Status

Hi guys I’m super confused right now. I applied for I-751 last May and heard nothing until October when I completed fingerprints at local office. Yesterday I checked the older  uscis site and noticed my case status updated to “another office has jurisdiction over your case” . I checked the new website today and the attached image is what they’re showing. So kinda conflicted statuses

 I have tried searching for answers but can only find stuff on combo applications of Roc and N400 I haven’t submitted N400. I’ve not applied for N400 yet.

 

I called USCIS and spoke with tier 2 who told me my case was still at Nebraska and the first update was just an officer transferring my case to some other part of the service Center. 
 

 

anyone any ideas what’s going on or had similar things happen. My case has no red flags and we are still happily married with nearly two year old son.

I wish to follow. I filed the i-751 last year in May. I too received yesterday in the mail that my application was transferred to a different office.

What did the letter  say that you got in the mail? Which office received your case?

Is there more than one USCIS local office in your area? Maybe they moved it to help delegate out work for faster processing?

nope just the one local office in my state. Afaik it was in Nebraska at a service Center just waiting on approval. Now it got moved to a local office. Hopefully some people who had this happen can explain their experience. I’m scratching my head right now.

NBC (also known as MSC) prepares cases for interviews which are then forwarded to the local USCIS office. It's possible they are preparing your cases for an interview, which means the processing time would be dependent on how fast or slow that local office is.

No it doesn’t say local anywhere

looking that way now I agree. I have no idea why they’re gonna waste their time interviewing us. This case is open and shut and have no idea how they could even doubt that or have any evidence of marriage fraud. It’s a complete waste of resources and we will need to waste PTO on this stupid interview. I will just submit my citizenship App and hopefully they don’t make us go there twice which is probably likely cause I don’t think any interviewing is happening anytime soon.

It could even just be that they randomly selected your case for an interview. It's hard to know the rhyme and reason sometimes to what USCIS does. Definitely file the N-400 if you were planning to, might as well "get in line" now if you qualify to file already.

That's normal update. they receive you get transferred usually to NBC or MSC and then you wait. You may get interview or you may get approved without interview. The wait for most is 12 to 18 months.

Welp... I’m Am currently approaching A year in just a month very soon may 14th. We shall see.

Wait for the letter in the mail then. If its at the local office, you are possibly getting i 751 interview. Any red flags with your case ?
