I am filling out this for for my parent to adjust her status from the tourist visa to a green card. They are asking to provide annual gross income. Well, my parent never worked in US what information am I supposed to provide instead? The income she earned at the country of origin? Or do I leave it blank and just submit affidavit of support, since we will be sponsoring her anyways? Also, is making over 250% of poverty guideline to sponsor your parent will be enough for USCIS to pass her on income part of application,or does she have to have 125% of poverty guideline of gross income regardless of how much money my family has? Thank you.

Do you mean on I-944? I plan to report her annual income from employment, pensions, social security, etc. in her home country and then income of each household member (see form instructions who is considered household member). If your household annual gross income is less than 125% of the federal poverty level see the form instructions below:

"If your household annual gross income is less than 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines based on your household size listed in Part 2., you may demonstrate that the total value of your household’s assets and resources is five times the difference between your household’s annual gross income and 125 percent (100 percent if you are on active duty, other than in training, in the U.S. Armed Forces) of the Federal Poverty Guideline for your household size."

I hope it helps.
