Help Deciding On Which Visa

Now to really mix things up, if you got nothing else to do for the next 6 to 18 months, you can actually marry and adjust status right now.

Assuming the following:

- you did not intent to marry and adjust while entering the US (your question here indicates that you did not have intent so your good there)

- you are currently here on a tourist visa or on a vwp (not all visas allow you to adjust status but there are more).

- you are ok with having to stay here for about 6 to 7 months (you cannot leave the US until you receive the AP/EAD)

- you are ok with not being able to work for the same amount of time.

It's legal (as long as you did not have the intend to do it when you entered the US) it's relatively quick and it is the cheapest option.

Edit:

Actually if you ask me you have 2 options.

Cr-1 if working/money is important

or Adjust status if you do not want to be appart.

K1 visa makes no sense at all for you.
