Hey everyone!

I've been working on translating a few documents that we need to apply for the CR-1 visa and while translating our rent contract I found out that a few pages of the contract are just a bunch of living rules in the apartment that we were in. Would that be necessary to translate as well? all of our main information are on the first page anyway, so am i required to translate the full document or is the importante information page sufficient for the application?

Thanks for your help!

for the embassy interview?

I had my marriage contract in arabic (long contract) and when we had the English translation made for immigration, by a certified translator all it said was the basics   like name and date and location/  nothing about the dowery or questions they asked me

so,  assuming these things are not important,  i would only guess,  like you,  the basic info is needed

but i am guessing

Ok, I feel like this situation is pretty similar. Because i'm sure no embassy officer cares that we are not allowed to have pets in the apartment!

Thank you for your response!

Evidence submitted to the consulate can typically be in English or the native language.   Double check for yours as to what they require

YMMV

Sorry for the mistake, I'm new here.

To clarify, I need these translated documents for USCIS and not the interview at the embassy. So would that make a difference?

Absolutely,  all evidence submitted to the uscis needs to be in English or accompanied by a translation

YMMV

well my questions was if the first page of the contract that has all of our basic information the most important page or do we also need to translate the following pages including the housing rules?

If you are submitting the entire document then you could infer that it needs to be translated in its entirety.  You know it's only living rules but they don't
