Thanks bro..👍,regarding proof of relationship, did you go with your photo album or you just selected the pictures you took along..

Went with the photobook for our traditional wedding and some selected pictures from the registry and phone pictures that we took randomly from places we went to and all......

Guess what he only asked for the registry photos. He did not ask for additional documents like Aos or transcript or chats

My mom is a permanent resident and she filed for her son and daughter.  She got their cc since September 28 yet still no interview letter.  My sister and brother is under 21 and the country is Jamaica.  Why is it taking so long to receive a IL?? what should my mom do?

Applications filed by a permanent resident put the beneficiary into a Family Preference category.  FP categories require a visa to be available for that country.  If a visa isn't yet available, it will take longer.

Many of the people here are married to US citizens and do not require a visa to become available for them to have their application processed through NVC and receive their interview date.

The variablility of interview dates is also dependent on how busy the Consulate is.  Canada and Mumbai seem to have very backed up Consulates with longer wait times.

Edit to add:  Is the case complete at USCIS and waiting to be sent to NVC?  Or are they documentarily qualified at NVC?

what is difference between an IR1 and CR1 category does that have any effect on processing time?

CR1 is 2 year conditional GC issued if the beneficiary has been married <2 years at time of entry.

IR1 is 10 year GC issued if the beneficiary has been married >2 years at time of entry.

no effect on processing time
