Indeed that is the correct form, you will need to fill it out completely including evidence of your meeting circumstances. You may want to check out the checklist that tells you all the documents that you need to include with the form.

You need think well if it ia better for you fiance visa or spouse visa.

fiance visa it is faster but more expensive,

with a spouse visa the immigrant can work inmediatelky enter to usa but with fiance visa can not work until get work permit.

 

fiance visa is 535 send the petition, then 265 plus medical exam in RD 

once in usa after married 1225 send petition to uscis for apply for green card, while waiting can not work without work permit or green card.

 

spouse visa 535 petition, then 450 at national visa center  plus medican exam in RD, waiting time is more in RD but once in usa can work inmediatelly.

Yes passport pics and a letter saying he will marry you before 90 days after he enter usa

K-1

More expensive than CR-1    

Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)    

Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (about 5-6 months)    

Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (about 5-6 months)    

Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period    

Spouse will not receive Green Card for 10 to 12 months after Adjustment of Status is filed.

If you have red flags this may be the best place to start in case of denial.

Removal of conditions. If you've been married for less than two years when you get your permanent resident card ("green card"), you get a conditional green card, which basically means it's only good for two years, and you need to go through the ROC process to get a ten-year unconditional green card when that expires (generally speaking you still need to be married, though there are some exceptions). If you've been married for two years before you apply for a spousal visa, you get an unconditional ten-year green card right away (also, your visa is an IR-1, not a CR-1).
