Traveling to another state with expired passport

Hi everyone, we are going to Florida next month and we plan on traveling by plane. I'm wondering if I will have any issues traveling to another state with just the extension letter, marriage certificate and expired GC. My passport needs to be renewed as it expired a few months ago. I don't have a driver's license at the moment.

Thank you in advance :)

You will need to have a valid government photo ID and in many (probably soon to be most) airports, you need either a passport or 'Real ID' ..Check your airports policies.

That sucks, guess I will get a state ID. I just didn't want to waste a whole day at a DPS office. 😫
