Friday is the day that I'm filing my I-129F! I just wanted to go over what I am including to see if everything is correct or if there is anything I should add!

1. Cover letter

2. Payment of $535

3. I-129F forms

4. Evidence of meeting in the last 2 years

    -letter explaining how we met

    -flight itineraries/receipts

    -hotel booking receipts

    -greyhound bus receipt

-passport stamps showing entry to US

-1 color photo of us (only one I have from THAT trip)

5. passport photos of both of us

6. letter of intent to marry signed by both of us

7. my birth certificate

8. my divorce decree

9. proof of ongoing relationship (I know this isn't needed but I wanted to show we have met numerous times)

-this included various flight itineraries, passport stamps and pictures

I think that's everything! Does it look good to you guys? Also, how do you suggest sending it? I was just going to seal it in a large yellow envelope and mail through USPS.

Is this enough evidence of having met??

That should be adequate evidence of having met in person within 2 years of filing

As Hank_ said, looks good. You said one photo from THAT trip. Do you have others? Re: Mail--we sent all of our packets (I129-F, AOS, ROC and Citizenship) via US Mail Express (not Priority, Express). Never any problems. Best of luck and love to both of you.

Edit: We used a numbered/lettered TOC and had corresponding tabs throughout the packets. No problems.

Edit 2: Scratch the "Do you have others?" I see that you do. Lesson for me--don't "tired post!"

What does TOC mean? And what did you use to tab yours out? We had a little hiccup with the scanning of our passports so we have to wait until Monday to mail :( I guess that gives me extra time to perfect!

Sorry, Table of Contents. We just bough sticky tabs at Office Depot and placed them on the appropriate document with the correct letter or number.

Don't you need two separate letter of intent to marry letters?

The way you word it sounds like you have one letter that both of you signed - my understanding is that you need two separate letters, one from you one from fiance.

on our i-129f, we only have one intent to marry letter signed by the petitioner.

during interview, they only asked for petitioner's intent to marry letter. i was giving them my signed letter but they declined saying they only need petitioner's.

note that this is our experience. it might differ from others.

What you need according to the I-129F instructions is evidence of intent to marry.

The way to do this that generates the fewest RFEs (and which almost everyone does, especially if they read guides here or even watch YouTube videos) is two separate, individually signed letters; one from you stating your intent to marry your fiance(e) and one from your fiance(e) stating his or her intent to marry you (the beneficiary can scan and email a copy for the petitioner to print locally rather than waiting for slow/unreliable/expensive international mail). That's sent with the petition.

You normally do not need new letters of intent for the interview unless explicitly asked for.

We do have two letters! I just wrote it in a way that didn’t seem like it. I have used the guide on this site which has been incredibly helpful!
