Just a quick question, once we receive the Packet three , which i think i will get an email for. Does the embassy in Ghana choose the interview date for my Fiancee or does she just have to go to the GT bank and Pay the fee and i can put in the application on my end here in the states online. I just want to get a little Clarification on that please.

Also, i will receive the a personal email on my side here for the packet 3 right? with the next step on what to do. Just making sure nothing will be mailed to her personally and i will get everything through my email.

Lastly, when i contact the NVC after we are approved, can we use the case number to start the application and choose and interview date or do we have to solely wait on the packet 3 because the dates fill up really fast on the website.

I am sorry for asking too many questions.

Thank you

Here is an advance copy of the P3 for Ghana.

Ghana P3

VJ Thread for those processing in Ghana where you can ask questions of others

Average wait time from when embassy receives the application is 6-8 weeks.  Average time to be sent to Ghanaian embassy from NVC is 1 month.  Therefore applicants should expect 3 months from NVC till receiving the P3.  Interview slots are very limited for this embassy, so it is advised for applicants that believe that they are a "strong applicant" to proactively schedule their interview date three months out to secure a date and time.

Beneficiary receives the correspondence from your embassy once the file is in Ghana. Petitioner has really nothing to do at this point.

Consult the links I gave you for instructions on what and what no you can do while waiting for the P3 or therein after you receive the P3.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

AbieBio you are welcome to Visa Journey, well as far as you have gotten the case number from the NVC, just use that case number to check your status.

When you check and it says ready, you can go ahead and pay the money at GTBank and fill the DS160 online and thereafter schedule your interview. you can track the status by following this link https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx#

When it says ready, just go ahead and continue with the other process
