However we recently got notice to appear initial interview of AOS for November. We want to know whether this is a good sign. Or is it going to be a false-hope.

It's hard to predict. If the AWA waiver is denied then it can't be appealed (INA Section 204(a)(1)(A)(viii)). https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1154

Quote

(I) Clause (i) shall not apply to a citizen of the United States who has been convicted of a specified offense against a minor, unless the Secretary of Homeland Security, in the Secretary’s sole and unreviewable discretion, determines that the citizen poses no risk to the alien with respect to whom a petition described in clause (i) is filed.

(II) For purposes of subclause (I), the term “specified offense against a minor” is defined as in section 20911 of title 34.

There is no way to know whether our i-130 has been approved to move onto I-485.

Reminder that while the I-485 is pending you don't accrue unlawful presence: "DHS has interpreted "period of stay authorized by the Secretary of Homeland Security," as used in this context, to include:" "For aliens who have properly filed an application for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident (LPR), the entire period of the pendency of the application, even if the application is subsequently denied or abandoned, provided the alien (unless seeking to adjust status under NACARA or HRIFA) did not file for adjustment "defensively" (i.e., after deportation proceedings had already been initiated)" https://fam.state.gov/FAM/09FAM/09FAM030211.html

Sorry, i didn't include any details pertaining to the case that My husband (petitioner) was involved. He was charged with possession of few pictures of girls who "appeared to be younger than 18" and served his time in jail for 42days and he has finished all the requirements and counselings, etc. He was very remorseful and he has told me all the details before we got engaged. I chose to forgive him and we decided to move on. After much research, we hired an attorney who is well versed with AWA and she told us to file the waiver with the rest of the green care application up front. It was difficult to obtain all the documents needed and it took us forever to do it.

hmmmm

Remorseful before or after getting caught?  (Withdraw the question)

Be a good idea to prepare for denial.  Your husband is exactly who that law was passed for.  Very sorry for how that will impact you.

Our case fell under AWA

I retained a Lawyer he filed our K-129f we received NOA1 April 2019. July our petition was transferred to Vermont from California service center. Still waiting for NOA2  approval or RFE

Praying for all of us for Jesus to soften the consulars heart ❤️ for approval. Our attorney told me “he has seen my cases AWA get approved”.

Hi everyone,

we are happy to say that we have finally been approved. Recently we had a 2nd interview and the lady officer said there is no risk found after risk assessment they performed. she didn't even want to ask any questions regarding AWA waiver nor NOID/RFE evidence we submitted. She simply asked our name, birthday, address and parents name. And she approved us!! Praise the Lord! It took us almost 4 years to get approved but i think this was all God. If you have any questions please message me.
