By the way, NB, I don't know if you realize you are not the only member here to have had a Pitcairnese bride. I'm not sure if you were around when mox was hanging around here, but he spoke eloquently of some of the culture shock his wife suffered when she came to the US. I'd say you could reach out to him for some top tips but he hasn't been on in years.

Halloween for adults is kind of weird. I'm well past the "go out and party" phase of my life for Halloween, but I know people will take any excuse to get out there and go for it. We're not going out at all and I'm making pumpkin soup and a big salad. I am doing "festively appropriate" workwear tomorrow -- I'm going as a dead and vengeful bride. I got an old wedding dress from Goodwill and have dirtied it up a little, and will be doing a deathly pale makeup with dark circles under my eyes and dark purple lips. I wouldn't normally do this but the other two people at work twisted my arm. They'd better show up in costume too or heads will roll!

No, not if done right.  We did it last weekend with friends in Key West and had a blast.  Looking forward to next year.

I think you know I dont really have a Pitcaim wife. LOL. I just choose that because mutiny on the bounty, was the first movie I saw with boobs

I think the first movie I saw with boobs in it that I recall was Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask) when I was 5. We were spending part of the summer on Cape Cod in a tiny village where there was a movie shown once a week at the local Quaker Meeting House (as I recall it -- it might have been a Congregationalist church) and everyone in the village went to see whatever the movie was that was being shown that week. So my parents thought it was a great idea to take me (5) and my brother (9) to see this film. There's a scene in it where a giant ####### is roving around the countryside, and I asked VERY LOUD, "Mommy, why is that boobie so big and chasing people?" to the delight of all assembled.
