Don't worry about other peoples visa's being issued, it has no bearing on your case. You did all you could do and now its out of your control. Just patiently await the visa decision, distract yourself in the meantime by focusing on other things such as work, family or hobbies.

Never monitor other people's cases. It is self torture.

Everybody cases are different. You don't know how their case was handled or any of the details of other people's cases, so there could be a number of reasons why they received their visa before you.

You are bringing thr frustration onto yourself of you are monitoring other cases.

f you are monitoring other cases.

It's not bothering that they got approved, I'm thinking having similar situation dates and submission and 221g letter mine is still stuck.

This website is loaded full of people in the same situation or went through it before, so we understand how you feel. An example from my wife's case was this... My wife had a medical expedite approved at the USCIS and NVC stage in May and didn't get an appointment scheduled until September. The case never got forwarded to the embassy and when I contacted the embassy they said to wait. Mind you, the NVC scheduled an appointment the same day as my wife's due date for our daughter... The embassy still did nothing and we just took the process as it came and realized there was nothing we could do to change it. Trying to do anything or event think about how the process is flawed or unfair is a waste of energy and time. The best you can do is realize you did everything you could and live your life.

Immigration isn't logical and the US Embassies are under a huge work load. Just focus on other things and when you least expect it, the Embassy will contact you saying they approved the visa. All the mental anguish and long process will be worth it once you see the visa in the passport. Just hang it there, you have already made it through the hard part of waiting for the I-130 approval and NVC appointment.

There is a book called "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. It's a great book about how things in the world are outside of your control and how the only thing we truly have control of is our mind. How we interpret a situation in the world and the perspective many great philosophers have taken in life. Check online, there is a PDF version floating around.

Thank You DYlan for your kind words and sharing your experience too. I will definitely check that book online and read.
