I initiated petition case for my husband in March 2018, He had his visa interview on 08/05/2019, was told he got approved and to wait for his passport to be returned to him in about 3 weeks, it’s been over two months now and he hasn’t received his passport, his case in the CEAC page shows ready for interview and it shows it has been updated several times, 09/30, 10/07, 10/08, 10/11 and 10/17, the embassy is only saying we have to wait and aren’t explaining what this means.

We had a baby girl in May 2019 and he hasn’t been able to meet her. This wait is the worst..

Anyone experience something similar?

Sounds like normal administrative processing.......Approval is evidenced by the status changing to "Issued".....

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Normally, it does.....but someone possibly just flagged it incorrectly......"Issued" will be the key status to look for.

Mine is the same thing, my husbands interview was September 25th told he’ll get his visa in 2-4 weeks. It’s been 4 weeks and the status still says Ready. Let’s keep each other updated. Good luck! Hopefully status change to issued soon.

In which US embassy did you go to?

Hi.. @RonaldandMiracle I’m in the same situation my interview was in Nicaragua on 08/05/2019 the CO told me I was approved but i only need my marriage certification from Consejo Supremo.
I sent it the next day by cargo trans, like He told me and I also sent it by email to the embassy. I'm still in Ap and I haven't had any updates. :(

I'm in Administrative processing as well since September 25th. Our case was updated on September 27th and 30th and October 21st. They only asked for my husband's W-2 for 2018 and said everything else was fine. 😟 why do they take this long just to check a one page document?
