Foreign policy was one thing I was feeling OK with when Trump was running. I thought he was going to be Ron Paul  light.

I can't really see what this article says though. Unfortunately MSNBC wants me to disable my ad block to read their worthless rubbish. Yeah, like that's going to happen. As far as foreign policy in general, I don't think anyone from previous administrations should be the one casting the first stone. It hasn't been our strong point as far as I can remember.

I am more than OK with this and want a total withdrawal of troops worldwide brought back home now. We need to stop playing the worlds policeman and let these regions forge their own destinies with their own blood sweat and tears.

There was an option to continue on the bottom left to read the article. I didn't think Trump would follow Ron Pauls logic of foreign policy of non intervention. I saw Trump as a Democrat playing a role as a Republican but been happy with him so far except his spending but either party wouldn't be spendthrifts anyway. His destruction of both major parties makes me love him though.

As someone who has been to Iraq and have had friends in that went to Syria to work I think this is a BAD IDEA. The Kurds absolutely love us. So by us leaving them to Turkey who is there worst enemy it is the worst thing we can do.

We have a long and rich history of absolutely doing this over and over and over. Looks like they would learn. without googling I am pretty sure Bush did it to them after the 1st gulf war, and Saddam  got pay back.  I think other instances also, but to lazy to look it up. I could be off a little bit

In fact the USA has a  long rich history of screwing over indigenous people that helped us.  The Montagnard people got a royal pump and dump in Vietnam also.

Couple of great reads on Nam

Exactly this point as well. We did do this to the Kurds in Iraq after the first Gulf War, and now we are doing it to the Kurds in Syria.

And the question that none of the war-hawks can answer is:  If we don't withdraw the troops now, then when?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Agreed, absolutely a terrible idea. But even worse, for all the wrong reasons - folding for Erdogan isn't going to make america great, ever.

Nope, you are wrong. The Kurds in both Iraq and Syria helped us out exponentially. While at the same time we turned our back on them twice now when they needed us most. Why in the hell would anyone side with us is beyond me.

Easy, we leave a permanent base in Rojava like what they have in Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan.

I am curious about this, we had something like 50-100 military personnel in that zone from what I read.  Were they really holding back the Turks?  I also wonder how Assad plans to respond?

The rest of the US military have been ordered to stand down. They have been ordered to do nothing to defend their allies, while Erdogan slaughters them. The 50 were for show (see we're leaving, you can watch it on tv! yay!). It's the rest remaining that have been ordered to do something with far reaching consequences...

We had more than that probably up to a 1000. It is more symbolic than anything else because it opens up attacks from the Turks on the PKK who are their sworn enemies.

So we have a larger presence in "Kurdistan"  how many, and how are the Turks not slaughtering them as well?
