So, despite my drinking this evening I am not a particularly heavy drinker, and I've never been a big fan of being around men who are are drinking heavily. (This was difficult when I lived in the UK!) And Al definitely was drinking more heavily than he is now at the time when we reconnected -- his wife had walked out of his flat with their daughter and he was in a lot of pain -- but he has cut back dramatically now that he and I are together and living in California. (Clean living and a good woman, he says, have been key.) So I just find these findings weird, but then again, it is the Daily Mail so who knows how reliable any of it is.

  I have my own theory. More eligible men than women present at a bar encourages binge drinking because what the hell else is there to do?

So if some women (not @laylalexof course) are wooed by a man drinking heavily, then what does that say about the women's decision making abilities?
