You should be ashamed of yourselves. It's foul and sexist to place any part of a woman's worth in how "conventionally" attractive she is. Even if it is the norm for some people to make these judgments doesn't make it acceptable. I know I fall into the camp of "conventionally attractive" and I know exactly how much more leeway and how many more advantages I've had because of that accident of genes. And I also know how I've been made to feel that my worth lies in being attractive rather than being intelligent. I've been dismissed as a lightweight, which has its own sting. There is simply no way to win as a woman -- either you're too ugly and therefore worthless as a human being, or too pretty and therefore worthless as anything more than something to look at.

I'd say the former is irrelevant while the latter is more relevant. That's not very hard to understand, even for a bit of totty like myself.

Personally, I do not care what she looks like, and of course I have been on the record in saying all politicians lie, so I could look past that as well.  What I can’t look past is her socialist agenda.

Because I don't agree that Warren is a socialist, that's all. You and I will disagree on this, and we could go on for several pages citing to different sources why we disagree with each other, or we could play nice and agree to disagree without being disagreeable and talk about something more pleasant, like macaroni and cheese.

You know what, I will recant.  I agree Warren isn't so much a socialist as Sanders or AOC.  I cannot get behind some of her desires regarding gun control, but otherwise she seems fairly reasonable, if what is listed on her Wiki page is accurate.  Thanks for keeping me honest.

 

I admit I said what I said just because I happen to agree with much of what Bill says, and he IS a logical fella, without giving it much thought.
