Date of entry on passport and I-94 don’t match

 Hello,

My fiancé arrived in the U.S. on a K1 Visa on April 30th, which is what the date stamped in her passport.  However, the date on the I-94 shows her last “date of entry” as May 1st,  which is the next day.

She went through customs around 9:00 p.m. on the 30th, but when we downloaded the I-94, it shows May 1st as her “date of entry.”

On the I-485,  should we just list the most recent “date of entry” as May 1, which is what seems to be in the government system? Or, list it as April 30 to match the stamp in the passport.  Or is this an error that we need to rectify before submitting the I-485.

Thank you for your help.

Interesting, but I would list the actual date she set foot on U.S. soil - April 30th. Do everything on time and it probably won't make any difference. Don't start trying to fix something that might not be broken.

Thanks for your help. I will take this advice and put the date from the passport.

I wonder if if we should add a note pointing out the discrepancy, but that may be just making things more complicated.

We are past the 90 days, but we’re trying to get it submitted as quickly as we can.

Thanks for your replies. 🙂
