RFE lost in Mail.. Confused (merged topics)

I got RFE on 4th September. I mean , status change to , " Request For Initial Evidence Was Sent". Today it's 19th September but not received any mail yet. We have even investigated at various post offices but they say we didn't get any mail from USCIS. Have any one from you facing such situation. So frustrating. Any advise? We even have made a request now and got notified that we should wait till October 4 for reply. So getting just a RFE letter takes a whole month... So frustrating.... I don't know any of you are in similar situation. Very upset about how the mail service to blame or what?

Does USCIS have your current address?  They have been known to make mistakes. I would call after that date and ask them to re-send it.

 

Also might want to sign up for USPS Informed Delivery.  It’s free and you get a daily emailed image of your mail pieces.

I am sorry, if you did not receive an RFE letter in the mail, how do you know you actually were issued an RFE?

Did you happen to change your mailing address, or did you use a lawyer?  If not, maybe it is just slow mail, and hopefully you will receive the RFE soon.
