I'm  actually worried going to the US because the chances of me making it there is slim, and i dont have anything there career wise. My bachelor's  is useless.

You may be surprised.  My step daughter (16) got a great job within a couple weeks of getting here and my wife with no college or real work experience got a job in a month.  My step daughter started at $9.00 per hour and my wife started at $13.00.  There is work here but you need to go out and get it.

You can achieve anything you want to if you are willing to work for it.  My wife applied at 4 places and all of them offered her jobs.  She was an OFW singer in Korea as far as her work background.

You will be fine here.

Source? I never heard of this. An I-134 was not upheld as binding in court cases, even back when it was the form (there was no I-864).

Edit: Also note that both the FAM and AFM explicitly states otherwise:

AFM (USCIS): https://www.uscis.gov/ilink/docView/AFM/HTML/AFM/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-12693/0-0-0-13496.html

Quote

Such affidavits, although helpful in judging financial ability, are not legally binding

FAM (DOS/Consulates): https://fam.state.gov/FAM/09FAM/09FAM030208.html#M302_8_2_B_2

Quote

(3)  (U) Use of Form I-134, Affidavit of Support:

(a)  (U) Because INA 212(a)(4)(C) and INA 213A require the use of Form I-864 for so many classes of immigrants, the use of Form I-134, has been reduced considerably.  Nevertheless, there still are circumstances when Form I-134 may be beneficial.  This affidavit, submitted by the applicant at your request, is not legally binding on the sponsor and should not be accorded the same weight as Form I-864.  Form I-134 should be given consideration as one form of evidence, however, in conjunction with the other forms of evidence mentioned below.

I'm with John.   The job market for english speaking immigrants is very good right now. Mary and I were in no rush for her to get a job right away in the US.  I wanted her to have time to adjust and make friends.  About 4 months after getting here she decided to do training for caregiving.  She only had an ALS certificate from PI.  After a 6 week part time training program, she was getting offers to work at $10 to $12 hours.  Today she is working a full shift at a facility close to our house making $14 and hour plus full benefits.

Take advantage of your time once you arrive and make some friends, do activities.  Mary signed up for a volleyball league that was almost all Filipinas. You can take some classes and get ready for having your EAD.   Best wishes for your journey.

While most say it is not legally enforceable, they are referring to the older I-134 (see photo)
The older form did not have all the legal terms to make it legally binding and it would not uphold in court,

but the newer I-134 has changed a lot and it appears to me to be legally binding, but it has not been challenged in court so we can not say for sure it it is legally binding or now. (see photo)

The changes are significant so they are there for a reason.

Seems the link I provided earlier had an issue. The link for the previous edition is on the following archived page: https://web.archive.org/web/20190111083419/https://www.uscis.gov/i-134 Every word is the same in the relevant section as the current edition:

I'm not seeing a material difference in the new form, and neither USCIS nor DOS has claimed said difference.

Ya there are lots of things the sponsor guarantees on page 5, including that they make sure the person they are sponsoring exits the USA before the expirations of their authorized stay.   < Does that allow you to hire a "bouncer" to get them back on an airplane exiting the USA?  ;)

Hi guys. So, just an update, I decided to push through with the interview, bringing with me his bank statements (he has more than enough) together with other docs needed. Didn't  really bother with the co sponsor.

On the interview day, i got approved and they didn't  even ask for any additional docs. Just my NBI, medical, cenomar, birth cert and ds 160 and ofc passport. I think i submitted his 2018 itr and affidavit of support.

That's  all. No bpi receipt, no w2, or maybe they just forgot?

Anyway, I wasn't asked a lot of questions. Didn't  even ask my fiance's  name (american consul). They asked my name, bday, how we met, which countries I've  been to, if either if us were married and with kids, what i do for a living tho, which i responded with i resigned and prepping for med school and then they submitted my case for approval.

Thanks for everyone trying to help and providing  the important info ;) and all those worried in my DMs, i appreciate  that.

also, this is irrelevant but funny so my fiance bought tickets last minute...and he kinda f-ed it up because he forgot about the time difference. He was gonna surprise me during my interview day but well, he arrived a day later. But I appreciated his effort and now everything  seems to be okay.

have a nice day!!

Also my ceac status says ready i guess that's  a good sign?

First, congrats!

Likely not. Manila rarely asks for an I-134 or financial evidence.

The I-864 when you get to AOS is required with a bare minimum of 125% being required to even be considered.

Great news!

Not surprised at the embassy not asking for financial support evidence .. very common practice for about 5 years now.

I am surprised the embassy didn't ask for your visa payment receipt.

And lastly .. that shows some serious commitment on the part of your fiance

It feels like that sometimes, too...)))   My wife has an acquaintance here that lives a couple of states away. Her husband is very unmotivated as well. Her English is not very good and she is trying to call USCIS and other agencies on her own. She calls my wife to ask me what to do. I always ask what is he doing))) I don't understand being in a marriage or relationship with someone from another country and not trying to help...Good Luck!

I also have been seeing  a lot of this too, my wife has several friends who their now husbands are lack of a better term "lazy" when it comes to paperwork and have let their I-94s expire among other things, a few are not even married yet with no date in sight. I could not imagine either bringing a person from a foreign country here and then just letting them hang. This is home sweet home yes that's true, but it's brutal if you have no working knowledge.......
