Student fiancée recently employed. Can she be my I-864 sponsor?

My plan is to get married and submit the AOS document package this coming October. 

 

Could someone tell me if my fiancée meets the requirements to sponsor me?

 

She is currently finishing her last year of law school. As a result of non-stop schooling, she hasn’t made any significant income ( <$1000) in recent years. That being said, she made $8000 over her summer internship and recently started an $80000/yr job. Seeing as how we won’t receive a tax return which reflects this till April, what are our options for her to sponsor me? Is it possible for her to submit another document in place of a tax return?

Yes she can sponsor you as long as she can should proof of her current income with pay stubs. Since you are on a TN visa - that means you are authorized to work and  your income can also be counted for purposes of i-864.

She can show recent paychecks and can ask her enployer to give her a letter employment stating her salary, job position and stating it is a permanent position, all this plus the same documents for you, And tax returns for you if you have some.

Like the previous poster said, Since you are on a TN visa your income can count too.
