For those of you who did all the form and applications for your wife's AOS and the other 2 forms, did you guys chose

At my request the preparer named in part 12,  "           " prepared this application for me based upon information I provided or authorized.

Or did you check the 1st box?

Does she not speak English or did she pay you to do it?

In the first case you are the interpreter and preparer and in the latter you are the preparer.

If neither you are not the preparer.

She understands english, but I prepared it for her,  since I did the K1 it would be easier if I did the AoS also, she did not pay me because she is my wife.  I figured a majority of people also did their wifes/husband AoS  who came over as a K1 was just wondering which option they chosen if they did the application for them.

Unless someone was paid to do it, they are not the preparer.

Unless someone filled it out because the applicant/petitioner doesnt understand English (making them both the interpreter and the preparer), then they are not the interpreter and preparer.
