Last month my visa was returned from DHL to the embassy, because I didn’t pick it up within 30 days, of which I didn’t get a notification that it was available for pick up, I have written several emails to them, that I am available to pick my visa, but no single response from them, please what else can I do, and the phone number doesn’t even go through.

Are you sending it to lagosIV@state.gov

They don; notify you that your passport is ready for pickup you were suppose to follow your status when it says issued you go get it. Lagos normally res0mded within 48 hours.
Make sure you address the email correctly. On Subject like your Case# your full name and why you are emailing (Returned Passport).
Also you could have gone to the Visa center and they can do all the work for you.

You are supposed to open an account with the uscis page and check constantly till you see a change of status to visa issued then you go and pick it up. They (the embassy) do not send text messages or call. You should have also received a mail from uscis .

Maybe you should call the number as well!

Thank you, I created an account, but I did not get a notification that it was available for pick up, I only got an email when it was returned to the embassy. My mistake was, waiting for notification, I should have gone to DHL after seeing that it was issued.

Thank you, Yes I am sending to the correct email, I only get auto response, which is becoming frustrating, I have sent them more that 10 emails since last month. With the subject (PASSPORT RETURNED). I have been to the visa center, I was told to send a mail to the same email

Yeah issued means ready for pick up. Have you sent a mail to the e mail now? I hope you get a response soonest as your passport has already been stamped and you need to leave before a certain time. Good luck to you.

Oh my.. I can imagine. Keep sending mails and calling if possible. If you are in Lagos maybe you should go to the pick up location and seek advice. They might know a thing or two to help. I am certain you are not the first person to have this situation at hand.

Success all the way

Thank You, they only replied my email, and i realised that they reply emails on a particular day of the month, because they responded to all my emails at once, even the ones my wife sent to them two days before they replied me, all were responded to in one day. so i guess they have a designated day for replying emails. it doesn't matter if you mailed them weeks before, or yesterday, all will be responded to on the same day.
